Hooray! Its my turn on the Chibitronics & CAS-Friday blog hop (which you should arrive from Maureen Merritt blog) and I have created an eastern themed card featuring the floral images from the Mon-Ami stamp sets as lotus flowers that glow. The flowers were just so pretty that I made this into a slider card which allows me to replace the batter. The same slider also activate the lights in the card.

- I first stamped out the floral images from the stamp set onto white card stock and color the flowers with copic markers which I later fussy cut them out.
-
- Used Distressed Oxide Inks to created an ombre blue background and then die cut my frame from gold card stock and glue it on top of my blue background. Next I mark where each of my flowers will go and created a hole in it. This is where the Chibitroinic LED light stickers will be placed.
- Trace the placement of each hole on my background piece onto my card base and then create my light circuit. The negative copper strip goes through the battery box and the positive strip runs over my top flap that goes over the battery. Temporarily place the battery into place and test out my circuit. Next, glue down the other end of my flap to create a pocket for my battery and slider.
- To assemble my slider, I took a long strip of card stock that is 3/4 inch wide and placed a 1/4 inch wide strip of foam tape on it with enough room between each for my battery. I then took a piece of copper tape and wrap it around my slider right where my battery will be placed. If done correctly, my LED lights will turn on whenever that copper tape passes the negative strip. Then trim the strip down to size and stamp my “Pull Here” text.
- To finish off the inside, I place double layer of foam tape around the card and a tiny piece of foam tape where my slider will hit thus creating a bumper. This is to stop my slider from moving further into my card. Then tape my background into place.
- Used clear foam tape and place down each of my flowers over the holes. Stamp my sentiment onto gold card stock with blue in last glue down some teal colors flat sequins.
